Hellenic Recycling Center S.A. (E.K.AN.) was founded in June 2002 with a purpose of the treatment of Waste of Electrical and Electronic Equipment (W.E.E.E.). In October 2004, E.K.AN. S.A. signed a contract with the company “Appliances Recycling S.A.” a company duly authorized by the Greek Ministry of Environment for the Management of the Waste of Electrical and Electronic Equipment in Greece. The full operation of the company’s plant for the processing and recovery of W.E.E.E. started in August 2005.
Also E.K.AN. S.A. is the first W.E.E.E. Recycling Company operating in Greece and is based in Agioi Theodori Korinthos, in a company - owned area of 50.000 s.q.m., employs over 90 specialized personnel for the treatment. Our company, has received award by the local Authorities for the contribution of W.E.E.E.
