The Holistic A.Y.M. is an extension of the Holistic Health Centre of Greece. Its purpose is to convey the principles of Ayurveda, Yoga and Meditation through seminars, interviews and conferences so that their application can enable people to have the right approach to health, wellbeing and way of life.

The Holistic A.Y.M. explores the principles of Ayurveda, Yoga and Meditation in a holistic way. Modern scientific research is combined with one of the most fundamental principles of Ayurveda, the examination of the idiosyncrasies of the individual on both mental and physical levels. At the same time, reference is made to both Western and Eastern texts relating to the study of yoga and meditation, which are approached in a scientific way.

The Holistic Health Centre started organising seminars at the practice approximately 15 years ago with a view to promoting and teaching the principles of Ayurveda. As interest grew, it became necessary to find new and bigger premises in order to accommodate our enthusiastic followers. My teacher in Ayurveda, Vaidya Asvin Barot, comes to Greece in order to share his knowledge and experience. In this way, the participants of our seminars are given the opportunity to experience an authentic sense of Ayurvedic philosophy taught directly by a Vaidya (the title given to a physician of Ayurveda).

The knowledge of our own unique constitution (Prakrti), physical (Dosas) and mental (Gunas) is taught with great accuracy by the science of Ayurveda. The application of this knowledge in our daily lives is supported by the practice of Yoga. Meditation, which is part of Yoga, helps to enable us to be in touch with our deeper nature.

The initial need to inform and educate has outgrown the Holistic Health Centre and, as a result, Holistic A.Y.M has been created to fulfil these needs.

We hope that the creation of Holistic A.Y.M. will be an aid to the deeper understanding of Ayurveda, Yoga and Meditation with the sole aim of encouraging essential wellbeing!
