Γενικές πληροφορίες

Αποστολή του Εθνικού Κέντρου Τεκμηρίωσης είναι η συγκέντρωση, οργάνωση, διάθεση και εσαεί διατήρηση της επιστημονικής, τεχνολογικής και πολιτιστικής παραγωγής της ακαδημαϊκής και επιστημονικής κοινότητας, ώστε να καλύπτονται οι ανάγκες πληροφόρησης της ερευνητικής και επιχειρηματικής κοινότητας της χώρας, και να προβάλλεται η ελληνική επιστημονική παραγωγή στο εξωτερικό.
Το ΕΚΤ ιδρύθηκε το 1980, με χρηματοδότηση του "Προγράμματος Ανάπτυξης των Ηνωμένων Εθνών", εντάσσεται στο Εθνικό Ίδρυμα Ερευνών (ΕΙΕ) και λειτουργεί υπό την εποπτεία της Γενικής Γραμματείας Έρευνας και Τεχνολογίας (ΓΓΕΤ) του Υπουργείου Παιδείας, Δια Βίου Μάθησης και Θρησκευμάτων.

The National Documentation Centre (ΕΚΤ) is the national institution for documentation, information and support on science, research and technology issues. Its mission is to collect, organize, provide and evermore maintain the scientific, technological and cultural production of the academic and scientific community, in order to cover the scientific information needs of the research and business community and to promote the Greek scientific production abroad.
EKT was founded in 1980, under the United Nations Development Programme. It is integrated with the National Hellenic Research Foundation (NHRF) and is supervised by the General Secretariat for Research and Technology (GSRT) of the Ministry for Education, Lifelong Learning and Religious Affairs.
